In the fall of 1991, Nike released two pinnacle Air Max products: the Air 180 and the Air Max BW. Following in the footsteps of the Air Max 90, the BW showcased bold, visible Air—but the style broke new ground by creating a wider viewing window into the technology, resulting in the silhouette's abbreviated moniker (BW stands for "Big Window"). Now, charged up by Rush Orange accents and crafted with a suede mudguard, the style has returned in a new makeup inspired by the early '90s Los Angeles sportswear and vintage clothing scene—celebrating fashion at the time of the BW's debut.
